Tuesday, May 1st, 2012

If you are a truck owner, you chose a truck that expresses your personality and style.  Maybe you drive a crew cab so you have the room to transport you family and friends or perhaps you chose a truck that is smaller that offers better gas mileage. You might purchase a truck that is in need of new paint and other mechanical repairs which gives you the opportunity to create a vehicle that you will accessorize in your own special way.

Accessories is how we customize a vehicle to suit us and what we want to convey to the public.  From floor mats to exhaust, special paint and fender flairs, the sky is the limit as to how many ways you can create your dream truck.   Pick ups have been a popular type of vehicle for a long long time and whether you buy new or used, you are a truck fan and will drive nothing else.

Hood scoops, grille guards, conversion kits and bumpers can all be found online where the largest selection of truck and car accessories are there for your choosing.  When you personalize your truck, car, van or SUV, you are creating a vehicle that will be one of a kind.

Home for the Holidays

Thursday, December 8th, 2011

College aged kids around the world play host to a longstanding tradition that revolves around the school calendar. Throughout the school year there are well-positioned breaks in the curriculum that provide students with an opportunity to return home for a spell. The school calendar is divided into semesters that correspond with the seasons. School usually begins in the early fall for most kids. Breaks are usually first experienced around thanksgiving. Kids are usually eager to take school holidays and catch up on some of the things that mom and dad’s house has to offer. Doing laundry is prime break activity since most kids have inadequate access to laundry facilities at school. Kids are often able to reconnect with their hometown friends to hear stories about what has been going on at everyone’s respective colleges. The interaction with old friends sometimes lead to drunken reminiscing and pledges of better friendship.

The next holiday that is anticipated by students usually coincides with the Christmas holiday. The break marks the end of the school semester so there is often lots of work to do before heading home for the season. Exams and term papers tax the ability of students before being released back into the nest of a comfortable return home.

Rocky Mountain High

A trip to the United States would not be complete without a stop in the beautiful western state of Colorado. On a map the state is configured in an almost perfectly rectangular shape. When the American frontiers were being divided into individual states, Colorado was sliced in a very regular shape. The timing of her statehood and land plat surveys led to a state that has nothing interesting about its physical boundaries. Other states lines have been drawn that follow rivers or other natural topographical features in an interesting way. This is not the case for Colorado.

What the state lacks in immediate map-inspired interest, it more than eclipses with the actual beauty that resides there. The mountains and other topographical features are breathtakingly spectacular in their presentation. The area is, of course, a skier’s paradise. The valleys and cavernous mountain passes are home to some of the most impressive naturally occurring waterways that can be found anywhere. A good pair of wellies makes hiking along the banks of these rivers more enjoyable. The banks are generally dry but can be the source of a proper foot soaking if care is not taken to wear the proper gear. Fishing and rafting are extremely popular hobbies in places like Colorado. The seemingly endless recreational opportunities cater to an eclectic body of human interest. Campers and hikers are prolific participants in the natural spectacle of Rocky Mountain outdoor leisure activities. The abundant wildlife also provides a naturalist with a diverse offering of species including Ram and Elk.

Guy’s Love the Great Outdoors

Sunday, June 12th, 2011

There are some things in life that are perfectly suited to men.  Boxing is one and car racing is another but for many men, it is the great outdoors that calls them.  Hiking, biking or canoeing down a river is something that many men choose to spend their off time doing.

All of these activities require their own type of gear and supplies.  Spending time outdoors, away from home, requires camping equipment and there are many items in this field. A tent is the most common item that someone thinks of when a camping trip is planned.  Then there is the sleeping bags, cooking stove and outdoor furniture.

These are just the basic needs when someone will be spending time away from the hustle and bustle of the city to relax, enjoy nature and sleep on the ground.  Tents today come is all sizes and can be large enough for a family of six. When shopping for a tent, you will see the newer ones pop-up and the need to spikes and ropes are gone. Visit a tent showroom so you can see all the styles that are available and pick the right one for you.  Don’t forget to bring along some outdoor fun when you camp like a Frisbee, kites and games the whole family will enjoy.
